Mt. Epsilon (Upper) is the final portion of Mt. Epsilon that takes the player all the way to the mountain's summit. It is also connected to Polaris Town and Polaris Town alone.
TIP: Make sure you bring enough supplies as you will not be able to fly off the mountain.
The final section of Mt. Epsilon unsurprisingly consists of yet another large and tedious multiple-floor maze to navigate through. The player must scale up 4 floors (3 of which possess inside and outside portions) before they reach the summit. The trainers in this area discuss the oxygen deprivation that supposedly exists here, though the player never actually gives any indication of being affected by such a thing. As the player makes their way to the summit and to their main objective, Brendan, they must battle their way through the hordes of trainers that plague each floor. Although, unlike the other sections of Mt. Epsilon, there are surprisingly few items to be found here.
Once the player makes it to the summit, defeats Brendan, and watches the dramatic cutscene that follows, they will receive a call on their Pokégear from Maxie/Archie/Greevil informing the player that they have found a way to get the player into Kingdom City without a problem; they then offer to teleport the player down the mountain. As such, this then becomes the player's next destination.
After Completing the Aroma Region[]
Once the player has completed all of the events in the Aroma Region storyline, they may return to the summit of Mt. Epsilon (Upper) to find a new challenger, May, waiting for them. The player must complete this battle in order to be able to receive the Tower Photograph from Miror B. at the top of the Ladoga Town lighthouse.
